About the author:

Lorraine White

After a life spent educating others in English Language; teacher training, mentoring and lecturing, as well as bringing up two children in Cornwall, Lorraine White decided that it was time to do some writing of her own. This first novel loosely evolved from an idea that came to her a few years ago after listening to a BBC news item about an area of Liverpool that had only mothers and children, with no men. From this, and a strong interest in psychology and mental attitudes influenced by family backgrounds, the story of A Parallel Life took shape.
